In this world there are two sexes, men and women. It is typical that these two sexes hardly ever understand the other, so it was surprising to me to when I stumbled upon this article about five things guys like in a girl. The first thing was glasses, second freckles, third an independent streak, fourth plain janes, and fifth assorted quirks. The first one somewhat surprised me since I feel nerdy when I wear my glasses, and some girls are the same way. Usually I don't here many guys saying they want someone who looks like a nerd, but then again guys do like girls who are intelligent and smart. The third one really did not surprise me much. I know that I would not want someone who is completely dependent on someone, so I don't know why anyone else would, but that is just my opinion on the subject. The plain jane one also surprised me since I don't know really. The assorted quirks one did surprise me since the ones they described are somewhat annoying sometimes. I found this video interesting with all the different opinions in it (I apologize for the language).
There is also an article about what girls like in a guy. It lists body odor, scars and blemishes, stereotypically "female" traits, vulnerability, and awkwardness. The first one definitely surprised me. I have never found body odor to be attractive. That is kind of gross, but maybe I'm just shallow. The second one I guess I understand. I have heard a lot of girls say they like scars. The feminine trait one somewhat surprised me, but then again it didn't. It is annoying to have a guy who thinks they have to be tough all the time. Showing true emotions is really not a bad thing. These two articles helped to show as a whole what men and women both like in each other. Even though I found some of them odd, some people might follow right along with these lists.
Wow! some of them surprised me while others didn't. I too feel nerdy when I wear my glasses. I've never heard of guys liking them... Awesome! Also, the whole body odor is disgusting. Sorry, but that's just too much. I really enjoyed reading this blog! :) keep up the good work!
